All in a night’s work…
It is 2:13 am. I have been lying on my back for the past several hours. Not in bed, but in the grass. A night sky. A crystal clear night sky. The only unnatural light is coming from Cape Blanco Lighthouse, twenty-some miles to the south. And even then, it only blinks once every twenty seconds. The ocean’s wave crash onto the beach only one hundred yards away. They roll up with a consistent hum – no, a consistent dull roar. The roar is broken occasionally by the call of one lonely seagull to another. An onshore breeze rustles the tall grasses. I can smell the dying campfires mixing with…

Fishing in Georgia
I left my honey again to go explore! This time my mini paid vacation has taken me to the lake community of Sebastion Cove in Eatonton, Georgia. The other pilot’s parents live here and have all the cool retirement toys, including a pontoon boat which is the local preferred method for taking anglers to the many large mouth bass hiding in Lake Oconee. While I have fished quite a bit in my life, I have only fished for bass once and only for a few hours in San Vicente Reservoir in San Diego. The end result of that attempt was that I caught one fish on my bass rig, a…

I know you’ve missed me
It seems like FOREVER since I last posted on here and so much has happened… a weekend excursion to the Windy City, a fly fishing trip to Mammoth and a few other things I can’t remember right now 🙂 I promise I will get our Chicago pictures up and a few stories posted soon. As for Mammoth, we only took TWO pictures the entire weekend. I know, I know… it is unbelievable… especially from me & Kenny. We tend to take massive amounts of pictures on every trip… take Peru for example… I am pretty sure we had over 3 gigs worth of pictures! So, without further ado, here are…

Off to the Windy City!
Yesterday Kenny found out he had to fly a 5 day trip to Chicago leaving today. Last night we had talked about me coming out, but decided that I probably couldn’t get off work with such short notice and that the tickets would be too pricey. Well, today I purchased my tickets to fly out there and surprise him! I am so excited! Chicago here I come! P.S. Thank you Danny & Tonita for watching Pilot at such short notice 🙂

Peru Highlights
All of us… 3 flights and 24 hours after leaving San Diego! So, we still haven’t seen all of our pictures and the thought of whittling them down to an album that won’t make you all run and cower seems too daunting at the moment. So, for now we will just give you guys a run down of what we did while we were far far way in the deepest darkest parts of South America… After 14+ hours spent in cars, airports, shuttles and airplanes (in seats without working video players!) we arrived in Lima at about 1:00AM and Tonita received her very first passport stamp! After a quick bite…

Burros!
Favorite lines…“Dude, we are like walking down the street with some burros!” “Whoa! The burro just cut me off!” Kenny, you make me laugh 🙂
